Therapy often focuses on addressing and healing past trauma, mental health challenges, and emotional struggles with the help of licensed professionals. Coaching, on the other hand, is forward-focused and action-oriented, helping clients set and achieve specific goals related to their health, well-being, and life transitions. While therapy can help you heal and process, coaching helps you create a plan for moving forward and living your best life.

Coaching is not therapy or counseling. Coaching does not involve diagnosing or prescribing. While therapy often focuses on healing past emotional wounds or mental health challenges, coaching is future-focused and goal-oriented, helping you create lasting change and achieve your desired outcomes. Coaching is also not a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all solution; it’s a process that requires your active participation, commitment, and willingness to take action. It’s not about giving you all the answers but empowering you to find the solutions that work best for you.

WHAT IS NEEDED FROM ME, THE CLIENT?

Here’s the truth: Your success won’t happen unless you put in the work. I know, it’s not the easy answer, but there’s no magic fix to make your health struggles vanish or your dreams come true overnight. Achieving lasting change requires you to push past your limits and challenge yourself. Together, we’ll break down the limiting beliefs that are holding you back. As we move through the program, you’ll start to evolve—gradually building new habits and adopting ways of living that support your healthy lifestyle. By the end, living healthfully won’t just be something you’re working toward, but an integral part of who you are.

But here’s what’s needed from you:

A quiet, distraction-free space:

When we meet, I ask that you show up in a space where you can focus completely on yourself—no distractions or interruptions. This is your time to prioritize your well-being.

A willingness to lean into the uncomfortable:

Real growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. I’ll be guiding you, but the transformation will happen when you’re open to challenging yourself and trying new things.

Commitment to show up:

Consistency is key. You’ll need to show up for yourself, each week, with an open mind and a dedication to your own progress.

The work we do together will require your full participation, but with that commitment, lasting change is not only possible, it’s inevitable. Are you ready?

WHAT IS THE PRICING STRUCTURE FOR COACHING SERVICES?

The initial discovery meeting is completely free! During our session, we’ll take the time to discuss your goals, challenges, and what you’re hoping to achieve. From there, we’ll create a customized coaching package that’s tailored to your specific needs. Since coaching isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, each package is uniquely designed to fit you—there’s no standard pricing or preset packages. After our meeting, we’ll decide on the best plan for you, and from there, we’ll move forward with clear pricing and expectations.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Payment plans are offered on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to our office with any questions on the contact page. 

WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE?

PUNT Coaching accepts payment prior to any session. 

HOW CAN MY HSA OR FSA COVER SERVICES?

In some cases, you may be able to use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to cover coaching services, especially if they’re part of a treatment plan for a specific medical condition.

The IRS allows HSA/FSA funds to be used for services that qualify as medical care, which includes diagnosing, treating, or preventing illness. If your wellness coaching is being used to help manage conditions like anxiety, PTSD, or chronic stress, you may be eligible for coverage.

Here’s what you’ll need:

A Letter of Medical Necessity:

This letter, written by a licensed healthcare provider, should state that my services are recommended for your specific condition. I’m happy to provide any documentation your provider or plan may need.

It’s always a good idea to check directly with your HSA/FSA provider to confirm coverage, as each plan may have different guidelines.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

PUNT Coaching does not accept insurance. However, your HSA may be able to cover your costs.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE CONFIDENTIALITY IN YOUR SERVICES?

At PUNT Coaching, confidentiality is a top priority. I’m fully committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring that everything you share during our sessions stays completely confidential. Here’s how I make sure your information is protected:

  • Secure Records: All records, whether digital or physical, are kept secure. Digital records are protected with encryption and passwords, and physical records are stored in locked locations.
  • Confidential Conversations: Anything discussed during our sessions remains private. I’m trained to handle your personal information with the utmost care and discretion.
  • Limited Access: Only those who are directly involved in your coaching have access to your information. Your records are only viewed by those who need to know.
  • HIPAA Compliance: For services covered under HIPAA, I follow all necessary regulations to ensure your personal health information is fully protected.
  • Consent for Sharing Information: I will never share your information with anyone else without your explicit consent, except when required by law (for example, if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others).
  • Private Sessions: All of our coaching sessions are held in a private and secure setting to protect your confidentiality.
  • Professional Integrity: I follow a strict ethical code to maintain confidentiality and protect your privacy, ensuring that everything we discuss remains between us.

If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, please feel free to ask. Your trust and peace of mind are essential to me, and I’m here to make sure you feel safe throughout your coaching journey.

I WAS REFERRED TO YOU BY MY MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, HOW DOES THAT WORK?

As long as you provide consent, I will gladly send updates to your doctor or any other professional who referred you. I’m also happy to coordinate directly with all involved parties, either through a call or written communication, to discuss our findings and collaborate on any potential overlaps in your care. I believe it’s important to stay informed about what you are discussing with your other providers. With your approval, I welcome the opportunity to receive notes and results from your medical visits. However, if you prefer not to have communication or updates shared between me and your other providers, that is absolutely fine. My priority is to advocate for you and provide the support you feel is most beneficial to your journey.

WHO MAKES THE GOALS?

You do! I am here to ensure that you are supported throughout the process. If a topic comes up in conversation and you are not ready to address it, we will move past it. You are the driver of the ship!
